We are seeking an Assistant Dock Master to plan and control safe docking, undocking, berthing and vessel-movement operations, protecting personnel, vessels, docks and company assets.
Responsibilities
- Assist with vessel-data review, checklists and dock-readiness inspections.
- Verify blocks, lines, access, services and assigned equipment against instructions.
- Coordinate assigned docking crews and communicate status to the Dock Master.
- Monitor vessel position, clearances and dock conditions during movements.
- Report deviations immediately and act only within delegated instructions.
- Maintain movement records, checklists and post-operation observations.
- Participate in drills, reviews and competency development activities.
Must Have
- Relevant marine diploma, deck qualification or technical education.
- Minimum 3 years of marine, docking or shipyard experience.
- Basic knowledge of dock plans, vessel particulars and line handling.
- Ability to work shifts and during vessel movements.
