A leading company in Dubai specializing in the maintenance and operation of vehicles, heavy equipment, and construction machinery is looking to hire an experienced and motivated Mechanical Engineer. To be considered for this position, candidates must be fluent in the Tagalog language.
Responsibilities
- Inspect heavy equipment regularly to identify mechanical issues before they lead to breakdowns.
- Diagnose faults and determine the appropriate repair methods.
- Carry out repairs on engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, and other critical components.
- Perform preventive maintenance based on operating hours and manufacturer’s recommendations.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot mechanical failures.
- Coordinate with operators and supervisors to minimize equipment downtime.
- Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Support workshop and field service activities as required.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the direct supervisor within the scope of the role.
Must Have
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience working directly on heavy equipment and construction machinery.
- Candidate Must be fluent in Tagalog
- Strong experience in the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of mechanical systems.
- Sound knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, and powertrain components.
- Ability to perform preventive and corrective maintenance independently.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Good command of English (spoken and written).
- Candidates with experience working on the following equipment will be given priority:
- Bulldozer (Dozer), Excavator, Backhoe Loader,Wheel Loader, Skid Steer Loader (Bobcat), Motor Grader, Scraper, Dump Truck, Forklift, Vacuum Truck, other heavy equipment and construction machinery
Important Note
- This is a field-based, hands-on role and not an office, design, or purely supervisory position. The successful candidate must have practical experience carrying out repairs and maintenance activities personally and be comfortable working directly on heavy equipment.
