We are seeking a highly motivated SolidWorks Design Engineer with strong expertise in SolidWorks and mechanical product development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing innovative products and concept machines, preparing detailed engineering drawings, supporting prototype development, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
Candidates must have relevant work experience in the Metal Manufacturing & Fabrication, Pipe Coating, Heavy Engineering, or Industrial Manufacturing sectors.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop new products and concept machines using SolidWorks in line with project requirements and industry standards.
- Create innovative mechanical concepts and optimize existing designs for performance, manufacturability, and cost efficiency.
- Develop mechanical systems, components, and assemblies while ensuring compliance with engineering standards.
- Create accurate 3D models, assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
- Prepare and revise 2D engineering drawings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company standards.
- Maintain drawing revisions and ensure documentation is up to date.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to build and evaluate prototypes.
- Conduct design reviews and engineering validations to verify functionality, manufacturability, safety, and performance.
- Support testing activities and implement design improvements based on evaluation results.
- Prepare and maintain complete engineering documentation, including:
- Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Engineering drawings
- Design calculations
- Specifications
- Revision history
- Ensure all documentation is accurate and properly controlled.
- Work closely with manufacturing, quality, procurement, and engineering teams to ensure successful product development.
- Coordinate with electrical teams where mechanical and electrical integration is required.
- Identify opportunities to improve product performance, manufacturing efficiency, quality, and cost.
- Participate in engineering change requests and continuous improvement initiatives.
- 3D Modeling: Produce detailed 3D models and 2D drawings, ensuring accuracy and completeness for manufacturing processes.
- Prototyping: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build prototypes and evaluate design feasibility, functionality, and performance.
- Design Validation: Conduct design reviews and simulations to verify that designs meet performance criteria and safety regulations.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including specifications, reports, and manuals.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet quality standards.
Must Have
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 4 years in SolidWorks for 3D modeling, assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings.
- Experience designing new products and concept machines.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, mechanisms, and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with electrical wiring and system integration is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Salary:Upto SAR 10,175= PM (inclusive of SAR 675 against food allowance)
