The Pipeline Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing engineering and survey activities related to the inspection and assessment of a 36-inch gas pipeline. The role ensures technical accuracy, route validation, and compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and industry best practices.
Responsibilities
- Participate in site visits with Company representatives to verify the pipeline route and finalize alignment.
- Conduct site assessments to validate recommended locations for terminals, metering stations, compressor stations, and block valve stations.
- Supervise topographic and geotechnical surveys along the pipeline route, including terminals and intermediate facilities.
- Review pipeline drawings, route maps, as-built documents, and engineering specifications prior to survey execution.
- Coordinate with survey teams, inspection personnel, and project stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely data collection.
- Verify pipeline routing, right-of-way conditions, crossings, and potential integrity or constructability risks.
- Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements and applicable international pipeline standards.
- Identify engineering deviations, risks, or anomalies and provide technical recommendations.
- Prepare survey reports, technical documentation, and engineering summaries for project management and client review.
- Support data analysis and contribute to corrective and preventive action planning.
- Liaise with client representatives and multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout project execution.
- Ensure all deliverables are completed within project timelines and quality requirements.
Must Have
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Pipeline Engineering.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in pipeline engineering within Oil & Gas projects.
- Proven experience in gas pipeline survey, route verification, or integrity assessment projects.
- Experience working with large-diameter pipelines (preferably 36” or above).
- Experience supervising survey activities (topographical and geotechnical) is highly desired.
- Familiarity with international standards such as ASME B31.8, API, or equivalent pipeline codes preferred.
