We are looking for an experienced Planning Engineer with a strong civil engineering background. If you have expertise in project planning, reporting, and claim reviews within the construction sector, this role is for you.
You will play a pivotal role in driving project success by ensuring strategic planning, accurate forecasting, and effective resource allocation—delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project
- Develop baseline programs in line with contract requirements
- Define project milestones, critical paths, and activity sequences
- Prepare resource-loaded schedules (manpower, materials, equipment)
- Update project progress on weekly and monthly basis
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports
- Generate S-curves, histograms, and productivity reports
- Present schedule updates to management and clients
- Coordinate with cost control team for earned value analysis (EVA)
- Work closely with Project Manager and Site Engineers
- Coordinate with procurement for material delivery schedules
- Ensure alignment between design, procurement, and construction timelines
Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
- 5-8 years in construction planning and project controls.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and reporting tools.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Knowledge on project cost management is an advantage.
- Good understanding of contracts
