The Senior Accountant & Tax Specialist will manage accounting, taxation, statutory compliance, financial reporting and financial controls for the India entity. The role will work closely with senior management, global finance teams, auditors, tax consultants, banks and regulatory authorities.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting and financial operations under Indian GAAP
- Lead month-end and year-end closing, reconciliations and financial reporting
- Manage GST, TDS, corporate income tax and statutory compliance
- Coordinate statutory, tax, internal and group audits
- Prepare MIS reports, variance analysis, forecasts and management reports
- Manage intercompany transactions and coordinate with global finance teams
- Maintain internal controls, fixed asset records and compliance calendars
- Support budgeting, cash-flow management and financial analysis
- Perform finance activities in Oracle Fusion Finance and support reporting requirements
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, banks, vendors, customers and regulatory authorities
Must Have
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting or Finance
- Qualified Chartered Accountant from ICAI is mandatory
- Min 5 years of progressive post-qualification experience
- Strong experience in accounting, taxation, statutory compliance, audit and financial reporting
- Experience handling audits, tax authorities, consultants and regulatory matters independently
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Nice to have
- CMA, CPA or Master's degree in Finance or Accounting
- Experience in engineering, manufacturing, EPC, infrastructure or project-based industries
- Multinational company experience
- Experience coordinating with international finance teams
- Oracle Fusion Finance experience
- Knowledge of transfer pricing and intercompany transactions
